Cranio-Sacral therapy is a gentle and profound touch-based therapy founded in osteopathy. It recognises that body, mind and feelings are interwoven and so engages with the physical, mental and emotional aspects of our being.

Whilst the Cranio-Sacral system consists of the bones of the cranium (head) and sacrum (tailbone), the membranous system and cerebrospinal fluid, the treatment considers the whole person in relation to their environment and to everything they have experienced in life so far.  The therapist tunes into natural forces within the body to enable the system to express and release restrictions.  Underlying 'vitality' which is fundamental to our health, development and wellbeing is strengthened.

By listening to our body, we can bring awareness and new perspective, enabling and empowering us to overcome and accept past or present challenges whilst building resilience and internal resources.

Cranio-Sacral therapists are not trained to diagnose and if you are concerned about any health issue, please seek advice from your GP.

Reiki Therapy

Reiki is a healing modality founded by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th Century. Reiki therapy It is a very light touch based therapy which promotes universal peace, harmony and balance. By laying hands on or near the body, life force energy flows via the therapist to the client.  When life force energy is high, we feel healthy and happy.  When life force energy is low, we feel stressed or unwell.  Since we are all made of energy and all beings are inter-connected, Reiki can take place remotely, without face to face contact.

A Reiki treatment feels very serene.  It treats the whole person by channelling energy to where it is most needed, whether to the body, emotions, mind or spirit.  It is a natural, simple and safe method of healing that anyone can use.   It is recognised and used by the NHS in England and can enhance and support other forms of treatment.
