Beyond the Pond Retreat at Guarlford

Welcome to Guarlford Court, a home from home retreat, situated in a small hamlet just two miles east of the Malvern Hills and perfectly situated to access local amenities, walks, pubs, shows and festivals at the Three Counties Showground and Upton-upon-Severn.

Tucked back from the road, beyond the pond and nestled within four acres, it makes a perfect spot for a nature lovers (with visiting muntjac deer, bats, kingfishers, badgers, dragonflies, damsel flies, butterflies), or for writers, walkers, photographers, ornithologists, entomologists, vintage car enthusiasts, therapists and of course those who just fancy a lovely break away without agenda.

We are also fortunate to have Madresfield Court within a few minutes' drive or a circular 8km walk from Guarlford. We also benefit from having the award winning Grange Farm Nursery over the road next to St. Mary's Church. The stunning Malvern Hills are just a 10 minute drive away.

Guarlford Court was built C16 and has been sympathetically restored by current owners Hannah and Peter over the past three years. You will enjoy staying in the adjoining self-contained wing of the Court which benefits from two large double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite) plus downstairs living accommodation. There is also a separate self-contained room accessed via external steps with double bed, kitchen and bathroom with wonderful views of Malvern Hills. Pete has a passion for of old cars, rugby, foraging, making jams and strong beverages. Hannah loves everything with a wellbeing focus and runs her Cranio-Sacral therapy business from home. We look forward to welcoming you into our home.

Beyond the Pond

More Information

Children over 10 years of age are welcome. We do accommodate pets at this time. Please note your accommodation is in one end of our family home and you are likely to see us pottering around outside, gardening and getting on with outdoor projects. Naturally our paths may cross outdoors and as fairly social creatures, we sometimes enjoy having friends, family and children to visit to enjoy the outdoors with us at weekends. If you are seeking total solitude and a noise free stay, you may wish to look elsewhere. Due to the location and age of the property, those with mobility issues may find this accommodation unsuitable for their needs. We do have a reasonable size pond at the front of the property and a pond that fills in the corner of the field during winter. Please note that ponds are not secure and so children should be supervised. Please contact Hannah if you have any questions.
